Pedro Basilio Portal

Spiritual Guide of the Institution

Reasons for the name “Basilio”

Pedro Basilio Portal was the father of the co-founder of the School, Eugenio Portal, who was a Notary Public.  The Spiritual World of Light decided that his middle name, Basilio, would be used to identify the School and that after his discarnation, he would be its Guide and Protector.  The School would continue with the New Idea that had been interrupted in the 4th Century, A.D.  When Jesus indicated the right moment, Pedro Basilio guided his incarnated son to reinitiate the New Idea.  This is how the use of his first name, Pedro, was sidestepped, to avoid similarities and confusions with different religions.

Motive For Its Foundation

The establishing motive of the School has been to tend to reconnect man with God through homage to Him, and the recognition, study, and expansion of the Teachings of Jesus of Nazareth.  Also, to show mankind the truth regarding the existence of the spirit in all its manifestations, of the ethereal world of the good and error, to continue with the New Idea, and proceed with the Spiritual Practices, according to indications from the Guide of the Teachings.

Study of Spiritual Science

Before entering the third millennium, it can be affirmed that the School has worked on its own scientific discipline:  Spiritual Science.  It uses a particular scientific method that is sustained in the activity of the mind of all of Jesus’ disciples, allowing them to relate with the Spiritual World of Light.

The General Spiritual Director coordinates new knowledge that arrives as indicated by Jesus, and authorized by God.

Because it dedicates itself to the study, teachings, and investigations of this Spiritual Science, the Institution is called a Scientific School.

It is the orientator of the conduct of man in childhood, adolescence and adults.  with the motto is “Toward God Through Truth and Justice,

Since 1917, Basilio Scientific School has founded 355 schools throughout the world located in South America, Central America, the United States, Europe, Australia, and with some schools, as expansion groups in Rome, Belgium, Germany, and France.

Blanca Aubreton de Lambert, Co-Founder

She was born on December 9, 1867, in Paris, France, a daughter of a humble home.  From the time she was a child, she worked to help her family subsist.  She married Hipolito Lambert and while living in a city in the south of France, she had the opportunity to meet a French soldier named Jacob, who offered his experience of spiritual knowledge, which she quickly assimilated.

The couple immigrated towards America, locating themselves in Buenos Aires, Republic of Argentina.  Many years passed in which Venerable Blanca has to work to collaborated in the support of the home.

Although her spiritual activity had to be postponed, it was never forgotten, since this was an enormous and important task that she brought as a mission and would fulfill.  In 1915, she met brother Eugenio Portal and from then on they would both work to develop the action plans so that the New Idea would re-establish itself, once again, in the material phase, in the Basilio  Scientific  School.

Between 1918 and 1919, her health began to deteriorate, but maintaining herself firm in her purpose, she continued working with energy to comply with her promise.  She discarnated on June 25, 1920, in Buenos Aires, Republic of Argentina.

Bernardo Eugenio Portal, Co-Founder

He was born in 1867, in France, later becoming a naturalized citizen of Argentina.  His father was Pedro Basilio Portal.

He was an educated man who received the title of National Notary Public.  He was married to Valentina A. de Portal and had three children, Maria Antonieta, Leopoldo, and Francisco.

In the service of his profession, he encountered ethical and spiritual restlessness that led him to question different sources.  In this search, an interview with Blanca Aubreton de Lambert finally arrived.  From this first interview, planning for future interviews marked the beginning of a task assigned by God and orientated by Jesus of Nazareth that consisted in the foundation of a School whose purpose would be to guide all beings towards their redemption.

On November 1, 1917, through arduous work, Basilio  Scientific  School was founded with its motto, “Towards God Through Truth and Justice.”

The magnitude of brother Eugenio’s mission exceeded the spiritual plane, embarking on the legal aspects that would be the bases to obtain a legal status for the Institution.

To this effect, he dedicated himself fully to the preparation of the Rules and Statutes that would be presented to the Inspector of Justice, which was approved by the Superior Government of the Nation, in 1925.

In 1926, his failing health made him stop his activities a number of times.  He discarnated on July 3, 1927, at the age of 60, in Buenos Aires, Republic of Argentina.

On May 11, 1947, he was designated the Spiritual Guide of School #6, in its inauguration in Parque Rodo, Montevideo - Oriental Republic of Uruguay.  Since then he brings his brothers, vibrations of love and energy to continue their process of evolution, participating in the Redemption of Mankind.
